City Club Hotel - Times Square

The City Club is a sleek luxury hotel in Midtown Manhattan, tucked neatly between the Times Square theater district and Fifth Avenue shopping. Emerging from the building's storied limestone facade, which once housed an exclusive social club, guests may venture via Town Car or foot to Manhattan's prestigious restaurants and venues.
Though discrete and personable in every regard, the City Club is not a boutique. Hotel owner and self described eternal host Jeff Klein avoids the tired clich? surrounding the b word. If there was ever a distinction to be made between the fleeting panache of boutique hotels and the timeless echelon of sophistication, the City Club makes it apparent.

Indeed, the City Club defies the boutique stereotype with aspirations of immortality. Notable designer Jeffrey Bilhuber, whose clients include David Bowie and Michael Douglas, orchestrated the hotel's interior. The City Club's elegantly styled lobby was designed not to impress, but to entice on a diminutive scale. The typically intimidating and cold expanse of marble and stone found all too often in New York has been supplanted for an intimate tchotchkie laden sitting area with inviting sofas on a designer cork floor. World renowned chef Daniel Boulud's newest restaurant, DB Bistro Moderne, reinvents the traditional European bistro as a contemporary culinary jewel box. The DB offers room service and dining for all meals.
The nine story City Club offers 65 guestrooms, each featuring exquisite designs. The City Club maintains an all original art collection throughout the property. Premium bedding with 320 thread count linens permits sleep in a city alleged to have none. Entertainment centers boast CD and DVD playback. Televisions with premium channels are masked by two way mirrors, which lose their reflective opacity upon the click of a remote. The bathrooms, complete with cascading showers, are decked in rich chocolate marble. Guestrooms offer complimentary high speed Internet access. The City Club appeals to sophisticated professionals and touring visitors who value style on par with luxury.
